Scholars

At GHS graduation in 1995 (see photo at right) The Partnership was thrilled to present scholarships on behalf of John and Peg Schmidt, administrators of their family’s W.E. Schmidt Charitable Foundation, as well as Aurela Weidner, the first person honored with a “Commemorate Your Favorite Teacher” Scholarship! The Schmidt family was our first major donor. Their 20+year faith in our integrity and our mission has allowed us to meet virtually every request. In recognizing Ms. Weidner, a beloved and respected educator, we were able to honor this embodiment of faith in the importance of education.
